About

Álvaro Resta is an award-winning filmmaker and photographer. From a very young age, he was interested in history, art, culture and creativity. Álvaro studied Communications and then post-graduated in Video Production.

He worked in different media as video editor and cameraman in Spain, Portugal and Ireland, developing his style to tell stories. Álvaro taught video editing in the University of Azores and in 2022 he won the Best Adventure Film Award in the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) contest with the short film "Adventure is a state of Mind".

In 2023 he won the 1st Price in "Environment & Ecology Films" and Best Film in "Tourism product film" categories, in the International Tourism Film Awards ART & TUR.
